Does anyone have an idea about the size of the intonation screw of a PRS Santana SE 2021? I unfortunately stripped off my Low E intonation screw but I managed to remove it so I am finding a replacement. I'd read in a PRS forum that it is a #4-40 but unfortunately, after ordering from amazon and trying a sample from home depot, it does not fit. I am assuming this has to be a finer thread than a 40. Please help me in this regard thank you!

You need to ALWAYS loosen every string before adjusting those tiny grub screws. Always. Yes it makes the intonation process long, but once you have it set right, you'll never touch it again.

You might just have stripped the threads in the bridge. Try to high E screw in the low E thread.

I've heard many say we do not need to, and I had successfully intonated without string loosening when it had to do with moving a saddle forward towards the nut for a flat note fretted at the 12th fret of the string, but I just found out that I really DID need to loosen/slacken the string just to be able to move the saddle via the screw towards the butt of the guitar lengthening the scale length for a string that was sharp when fretted at the 12 fret. Lesson learned.
