PRS DGT Finishes by year?

I'm wondering whether or not the Goldtop finish was available prior to 2010 when the DGT was all nitro? Does anyone know or can point me in the right direction?

Yes, it always came in Goldtop, originally with a dark back and later with natural back. A guy or two around here has one of the early ones.

I think the color was even referred to as "DGT Goldtop" at one point, since it was the first time PRS regularly sprayed the more Gibson-y gold. Prior, they used a shade that was closer to Fender's Shoreline Gold.

And just to be clear, the pre 2010 DGT's are finished in all nitro? I'm also considering buying a 2009 and having it over sprayed or the top refinished in Goldtop...

Polyester base coat, nitro top coat up to about 2011.

According to the site, DGT Goldtop & Goldtop are both available finishes.

Here's my '08. Took almost a year from the order date to arrive - ordered July '07 and arrived June '08. PRS was having some issues with the goldtop finishes cracking.

This one, which is a '10 (I think), is finished in the V12 finish. I feel dumb that I can't remember the year.
