IT got delivered yesterday. Pulled her out and checked her over....VERY nice indeed! Feel: great, quality: spot on, color: amazing!
Couldn't play her until late last night, so I had to delay the thread.
This is an incredible guitar for the price! Feels every bit as good as the core line, and DESTROYS the SE line.
The split humbuckers are actually USABLE! Most split buckers I've used end up sounding tinny and gimmicky. these actually DO SOUND like actual single coils and not an anorexic teenage girl trying to whisper to the waiter to sneak her some dessert so her parents won't find out.
Everything feels great on thsi guitar...action is a LITTLE bit high, but I can fix that. The color is a bit more green than the pictures show, and tha'ts GOOD...this is an amazing color not usually seen on guitars. The switch is good, but feels a bit wobbly....doesn't bother me...it doens't slip while playing. The knobs are awesome! Only small complaint is that it's hard to coil split the tone knobs because they're so tight. They'll probably loosen up over time, I'd wager.
Overall, having played tons of guitars, this is by far the top 1 or 2 that I've had out of the box. The other would be a G&L ASAT that was just to die for. Both of these feel as if they're custom shop quality guitars.
I feel badly for my 66 SG Jr and USA teles....they won't be getting any play for quite some time!
On to a few pix I had to steal from facebook. I don't have a photo hosting account and this page doesn't let me attach files.![Frown :( :(](data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7)
Oh yeah...HATE the gig bag. It feels as if the older ones were more robust.
The leather PRS strap I bought with it is amazing, too.
