M3 is the thread size on my SE Silver Sky. But that's metric. You probably need English/American threads if your guitar was made in the USA. I'd guess it would be the same as for an American made Strat. These are described as being 4-4. I realized I could buy 1 set that might not work for like $8 with shipping, or I could spend $12 and get an assortment of 200+ various sizes in a box. So I went for the latter.

For future spelunkers of thread, the correct John Mayer saddle adjustment screw and thread is called a #4-40

I was able to replace the low E with 1/4" tall ones, and then move the ones from the low E to the A, and now the bridge doesn't try to shred my palms while I shred!
