I've been to a Phish concert, and it had its own special scent too! Prob not the same as your guitar.

Ok, I changed the word fish to "guitar", busted.

Maybe the person that owned the guitar was also bringing a fish to his friend with the guitar in the same seat. You know, Bobby Holmes, likes fish?

Humor aside I had the same observation on one of my first PRS Core I bought year ago which had an all rosewood neck.
It was so bizarre I ended up asked PRS customer service fishing for answers; from what I recall they told it can happen with the boiled linseed oil they use to 'finish' the fingerboard.
