I’ve been wanting a Brushstroke 24 for quite a while. This particular one that I purchased was up twice on Reverb I decided to purchase it. Pickups sound pretty cool but don’t have that 5909 sound that I love but they are unique in their own way And I’m starting to like them more more. I’m playing it for a week now. I love the coil splitting set up and the only cosmetic addition I made was putting a rosewood truss rod cover instead of the stock black metal one.

I’m sure there must be some of you Brushstroke 24 owners out there that chime in with your thoughts and opinions. Thanks much.

I started out looking for a Pauls Guitar , This fell in my lap at the moment my only 24 fret guitar.
Sounds great , Plays greater , Looks to die for :)
I'm a fan of the 408 pickups the narrow 408 tho not high output pushes the amp just fine and cleans up really well.
I believe there was only 200 made so there aren't a ton of them.
I need to take some better pictures

I should have brushstrokes, but don’t - Mrs might be getting a new guitar though.
Both of these guitars are great looking.
I do like the 408s, but they are in a different tonal space than the 5x series.

Love that blood orange color! I’m finding I’m playing a lot with the single coils, I never seem to care for coil tap on bridge pickups but this one sounds great. The neck is not as single coil sounding as 5909 humbucker or original “B” pickup on my 1988 CU24 full humbucker, this guitar just has its own unique sound which is awesome. I don’t need it to sound the same as my other PRS’s. I’m playing smooth jazz, to 80’s rock ballads with it. It really cuts through the mix.

11 I love the abalone brushstroke inlays on yours! I hate criticize PRS but the ivoriod (pretty name for plastic) are cheep looking on a high end instrument. His has mammoth ivory, not that I would want that but I think that high end PRS’s Should come standard with real mother of pearl or abalone inlay’s. Just an opinion.

I wouldn’t mind seeing some close up photos of the one on the right with the partial brushstroke and lace. Pretty cool!

My post before this one was supposed to be a reply to you.
