Great score.

It is 100% Royal Blue. This color came with black pickup rings and did not have the faux binding. It's also blue all over.

Whale Blue guitars got cream rings, faux binding, and 99% of them had a black back/neck.

Actually….. there is a set of cream rings in the case… looks like the previous owner changed them to black? Or maybe had bought the cream years ago, and decided black looked better after all?

Congrats! I have the same guitar and absolutely love it. I also just ordered a 2024 S2 24-08 which uses all US-made electronics now. Can't wait to get it! The color for our guitar (as told to me) is Whale Blue. I did some digging on specs when I bought mine. Here is what I learned. Maybe you have all this by now:
