I'd be interested to hear what they sound like and compare them to an NF version.
 
They're including the original soapbars, so you could reinstall the neck one and have some kind of Chris Robertson-ish beastie.
 
I didn’t realize the minis were P90 sized. Cool idea on the CR core mod.
I had one in a SE One a while back, probably 8 or 9 years ago. I miss this guitar.

The story went that some time in the early 1970s, Gibson had just sent Epiphone production to Japan and had a lot of Epi parts leftover at the factory since Epis were USA made throughout the 60s. Epi had used a lot of mini-humbuckers in guitars like the Sheraton, Riviera, and Wilshire, so Gibson needed to use up these parts. Someone figured out if you took some P-90 covers and cut out the tops for Mini-humbuckers, you could mount them in Les Pauls routed for P-90s, thus creating the Les Paul Deluxe.
