MC-58 57/08 pickup verification

I have an MC-58 that I recently had some work done on.

Since then the pickups sound very different to me than they used to.

My fear is the possibility of the pickups being taken and replaced without my knowledge.

They obviously still have the brushed metal covers with engraved 57/08 on them but I'm wondering if they actual pickups haven't been swapped. Is there a way for me to verify the authenticity of the pickups in my guitar?

Take some pics and post them? Both the tops, and remove the pickups and flip them over so we can see the bottoms.

Also check the pickup heights...sometimes that can make a difference, and lots of techs will mess with that without realizing you liked it where they were.
