Low volume w/ split Hbr's in my DGT

I have a '09 DGT, and when I split the humbuckers, the volume drops too much and the tone if very thin.

I read this was a problem with the earlier DGT's.

I also read somewhere that the problem was fixed in later models.

Can someone give me a a diagram of the new wiring and/or resistors used to correct this?

I've never heard that this is a thing with early DGT's. Has it been like this since new? Are these the original pups? Was the wiring altered in any way?
