Jeff Beck 2016 Tour

So here's my take on the latest experimental project by the one and only:

I've listened to the album, twice, from beginning to end and here's what I did. I listened for what Beck was doing BEHIND the lyrics and singing. It's some truly amazing guitar work from the Maestro. The guitar break on 'Scared for the Children'? He's said in more than one interview this is not an album for guitar geeks and freaks and frankly he couldn't care less, it's his statement and creation take it or leave it. That said, here are my observations. I kept waiting for 'Live in the Dark' to go double time. 'Right Now' should be sung by a young Robert Plant. 'Shame' needs a male soul singer. O.I.L needs a real hard core screaming punk female vocal. And 'Shrine' should sung by a young female country singer. 'Thugs Club' and 'Ballad of' I can take it or leave 'em, but again the overall guitar playing is, what can you say about Jeff that hasn't been said already anyway?

Long Live Jeff Beck~!
