Place it atop an old Vox AC-30 and if you leave the amp turned on for a while, it will indeed heat that water up! It's a two for one--great tone AND a hot beverage!
I had a dream of getting a Pinto wagon, dropping a blown big block, racing tranny, low rear and big tires under a raised rear end. That dream died when they started burning up in wrecks.
When buying other things, do you ever let your guitar influences/likes/preferences/etc. get in the way of your decision other items having nothing to do with music stuff?
When researching possible household need purchases, I sometimes find myself thinking that there are musical things that would do a better cost-effective and efficient job.
For example, researching a faucet diffuser might cause me to think about a mic pop filter. Or an electrical circuit box might cause me to research a safer surge protection circuit. Or researching a pair of kitchen scissors might cause me to research what comb filters do.
It kind of works both ways, except that like the faucet, I can turn the connective association on and off as necessary until I find what I need. (I think today it'll be a home-baked cookie.)
