I had to do the usual mods to my new Egyptian Gold Santana, and got to thinking I'd have a little fun with it as well... Introducing the PRS SE Santana SC Egyptian Gods:
So what'd I do? Lessee... Lampshade knobs, of course, a Core nut and SE locking tuners, as I think those are pretty mandatory comfort and performance upgrades for me. Then I looked at the Egyptian tomb painting strap I have and figured what the hell and added a little ancient Egyptian bling.
I replace the Santana signature truss rod cover with a rosewood Eye of Horus TRC:
At the opposite end I added an Anubis decal and a Gilmour trem arm courtesy John Mann's Guitar Vault:
And I commissioned a custom pickup selection ring to help avoid sonic confusion:
And finally, an Ankh to make it all breathe:
Now Ima go play that Bangles tune a bit
