CTS pots in my 89CE24

I replaced the volume & tone pots in my 89 CE24 wtih CTS pots, and I just don't get the same fade affect. I just ordered a PRS vol. pot, but I want to know if it will make a difference with a CTS tone pot? Does anyone know if PRS is still using the same potentiometer's as in 1989?, and why they work differently than the CTS pots? I guess I thought all pots were the same? Thanks in advance,

The PRS pots are custom taper made by CTS I think...

use a cts audio taper pot for the volume to get the fade or roll off you speak of. And the tone if you want.
