I have a satin black 594 and wondering what to clean/polish it with
Dry microfiber cloth
..... Depends whether you want it to stay satin. Any cleaner or polish along with any kind of polishing action will err, polish the guitar. So like Bodia says, best thing would be a dry, or ever so slightly dampened microfiber cloth. My satin finish started to get gloss spots just from rubbing with my arm (nothing inappropriate. Stop thinking that!) So I ended up giving everything a light polish so that it's all consistent again. It's now no longer satin, but not quite a normal high gloss either
Yeah my satin neck is getting a bit polished from use too, like the look though
my satin body too. Where the 'handing' happens. It just makes it look like a proper working guitar.
back to topic. I agree with Bodia that a clean microfiber cloth is the first & best option.
If you have an oily skin (I do) then a light clean with damp cloth with very diluted simple (no additives) soap. Rinse & dry.
Yup. That’s all I do with the two I have. It’s worked for 10 years.
