Hey All,
I am the happy owner of a Santana MD. I have tried to find out what the MD circuit is and does. There is just not a lot of info out there. From what I've found the circuit is supposed to make the Humbuckers sound like single coils. That it does I guess, a little thinner and with a slight drop in volume. A couple of weeks ago I pulled the rear cover off as the toggle switch had gotten noisy. The circuit board is massive! It takes up the entire control cavity. All that effort for a subtle change in tone? Is there something I'm missing? Is there any other information out there on the circuit and the thought behind it? Is this the same as the Mastering Voice Control?
Cheers, Mike
