Just a little anecdote about strings and the #7's for the S2 players amongst us. I've tried a fresh set of PRS strings, as well as my normal DR Pure Blues over the #7's on my S2 Semi, and like many others, found the guitar to be quite warm sounding. Not in a bad way, but there were times I wished for more punch. My S2 was due for some new strings last week, and I had some spare Tite-Fits laying around, and since they're nickel plated instead of all nickel like the PRS and PB's, figured they might be a good change of pace. Normally I find them too bright and twangy, but on the #7's and with the semi-hollow body, they sound quite superb. Just a little more punch in the wound strings, and better articulation all around. I think I'll be sticking with the Tite-Fits on that guitar from now on. So, if you find your S2 #7's a little meh, getchaself some nickel plated steel strings, or all steel if you really want to go nuts!
