So I have always wanted to mod my Mira.

I have gotten used to the option of dual volumes for neck and bridge and thought i'd do it for the Mira too.

I decided for ease of access (and to avoid a busy top row) to put the toggle switch between the two existing pots. These will be neck and volume pots now (neck pot towards neck pup and bridge at back). The tone control would go where I'd widen the existing hole for the split switch.

Step 1: Adding holes into the pickguard:

Step 2: Re-wire and fit back in. It's a tight fit I have to say, but later, the Mira looks like this:

Just got to get a black lampshade for the tone pot and it's done.

Bit more flexibility is all it needed since it was banging already.

God I love the smell of solder :)

Fixed! ;) Nice job on the mod.

Thanks for catching that ;)

Yeah, having played all evening after the re-wire, it's definitely something all Mira owner should consider. If I could do it neater inside, a friend suggested maybe to put 2 single line toggle switched and wire akin to a 408 with individual neck and bridge splits, but it's real damn tight!

Either way, the 2 volumes work a charm.
