What do mean by "back fed" volume pots?
Instead of the hot wire of each pick up going to the volume pot, they were wired to the switch which fed the signal though the tone pot first and coupled the volumes together like vintage Gibson wiring. So, when you turned down one volume down to zero, it took the whole guitar down. The guitar sounded like ass when you had both pick ups on, and the volumes were fairly unresponsive.

Faded indigo. The actual color takes on several different characters, depending on the lighting.
