You're late to the party!

There has already been a 408-equipped 594 scale length model -- with a Gen III locking trem(!).

It was a limited run in early 2016 (announced in late 2015) in commemoration of the 20th Anniversary of the Private Stock department, called, appropriately enough, the 20th Anniversary PS Ltd. Most versatile sounding guitar I own, absolutely love it.

Here's mine; a few other folks here have one as well:



I can tell you from experience that the combination absolutely rocks. I'm sure if you got in touch with your dealer, PRS would make something similar in PS.

I didn't realize those were 594 scale length. I need to learn to read when there's pictures next to the text, and not get distracted by the pretty pictures.

Mahogany body, Korina Neck, IRW Board. Traditional 408 pickups with the thicker one at the bridge.

I happen to know that 408's work well with the Shorter PRS scales, I had a PS DC 245 with 408's a my primary gigging guitar for a couple of years, I dug it!!

Before anyone says "Pics or it didn't happen!":

I particularly dug the 408's for the great split tones without the volume drop!

I am stoked to be trying them in a DC 594.

Way cool Pete. Will you be keeping the 594 four knob layout? I have seen Private Stock Singlecut 408s that use push pulls for the split/taps.

Yes, absolutely, a 594 in every other way, 2 volume, 2 tone, and push-pull tone knobs to split the 408's.

Considering @fgeorge097 meant the "594-08" in the way of a "Custom 24-08":
That's actually exactly what it is already. Three way switch + two push/pull-pots make 8 sounds

Pic wasn't working for me on the iPad. I know I had trouble previously linking to Google Photos, I had to switch to Photobucket, it was pretty maddening.

Congrats! I assume this was the one with the Labywrinth Knots on PSF a few months back.

The guitar is superb.
