I'm officially DONE buying guitars. DONE, you hear me? I have enough.
Now you swear and kick and beg us
That you're not a gamblin' man
Then you find you're back in Vegas
With a handle in your hand OR ANOTHER PRS!

I updated my Private Stock DC 594 (Semi-Hollow with no F-Hole) to Ivoroid Pickup Rings, Switch Tip and Tuner Knobs. Was originally Cocobolo, pic below:
I like it either way, I think the Cocobolo makes it look more fancy and custom, and the Ivoroid makes it look a little more "mainstream"...
What do you guys think?
Is swear I saw this one on Reverb the other day...
I also like the dark wood pickup rings. Did you get those from PRS? I would love to do ones in curly maple to match the neck binding on my private stocks.
I rarely leave the "Lead" setting (based on a plexi) on my Yamaha THR10. It just sounds so good with the 594 (or anything, really).
First post. Better make it a good one.
I joined the club! Let go of 2 other PRS guitars and bought this one.. Fell in love with it, the minute I picked it up. It just feels right.
Beautiful clean and crunchy sounds from the LT pickups. Still on the fence about the high gain tones. I might change the bridge PU for a "normal" PAF, like a Lollar Imperial or something. Any of you guys do high gain with a stock 594?

Hottie! I picked up one of Brian's Wood Library 594s with the 59/09 in the neck. Better suited to what you're looking for, IMHO.

Stumpin' & bumpin' for the original doublecut PRS McCarty 594.
Now I've got two of them!
