trem bridge

i have a prs se standard.im wondering ive read where they say tune it,and after you use the bar if it doesnt come back in tune to use the trem to get it back in.well i looked and my trem back is touching the body should it be a 1/16 floating to do this .is it better floating? thanks

I also have a PRS SE Standard, and yes it's supposed to be level all the way across and front to back. It supposed to be floating 1/16th off of the body. Mine stays in tune great and I have it set that way. You can always block it if you only want it going down.

Remember that you have to adjust the tremolo springs so that the bridge stays level. Once you get it set, it works really well.
