I'm always expanding my musical world , and have been listening to a lot of North African and Middle Eastern music , so many cool instruments stringed and otherwise.. With all the madness in the world ..I look for the art & music of these cultures to wonder if maybe peace through music is a solution ...it has always been a great healer

A few friends I worked with played Oud , a fretless 12 string instrument ..( they are Palestinian) and I love the sound .. saw this in my insomniac browzing .. a beautiful electric one

Typically yes... I'm not fond of friction pegs, but once you get it tuned they tend to hold real well. Thankfully for fiddles they have retrofit geared tuners I've had installed on my main one , and my daughters. WAY easier.
