I have come to the conclusion that I still don't care for the HFS bridge pickup. I have heard others get decent tone out of them but I can't seem to get there. I have been forcing myself to play my CE for a few days to try and bond with it but when I went back to 5909s it became very clear that the HFS has to go.

Now what I want is a 5909 bridge but will it sound as good in a maple neck guitar? Maybe I want an M pickup? What will that sound like??? There is a set of 5310s on ebay for a buy it now price of 475.00, Yikes!!! I guess the hunt begins for a way to make my CE24 fit what I'm after.

What would you do?

On other forums, Seymour Duncan's Custom Custom have been suggested often, I have noticed.

I have a Tremonti in my alder body ce24 it was a perfect match. Made it sound sharper, clearer but didn't lose any of the fullness.

I would recommend it

What don't you like about the HFS? Knowing might help steer you in a better direction.
