HFS vs Artist, what can I expect?

I found an Artist treble pickup in my stash and was wondering about it. The only guitar I have that I would be likely to put it in is an old version CE24. What differences can I expect from the HFS if I do that?

It would be for rock, hard rock, grunge rock, classic rock, and alternative rock. So... rock.

Smoother, less sharp highs, likely blends with the neck better.

In the right circumstances the HFS is tolerable (for me). At one point it was likely the most recorded PRS pickup.

I might give it a shot. The HFS is kinda okay. I had a Tremonti in there and it's better than that but still a little shrill.
