Hello everybody
I've got a PRS SE One that is in desperate need of a tone control. I don't want to mess with concentric pots and there's not much room in the factory route for an extra pot. I was thinking of mimicking a tone control by just adding a simple 2 or 3 way slider switch with a capacitor (and a resistor?) added in. A slider switch would not take up much space. I do have some beginner experience with soldering since I put a Mean 90 in my strat copy.
My goal would be to have a preset tone-rolled-off sound or two available. I guess I could tweak those sounds with different capacitor values. I don't need a whole range of rolled-off sounds.
I guess I'm looking for your thoughts and wiring ideas and especially diagrams if anyone has done this before. Thanks! Lee
