Hello
I’m new to the forum and new to PRS. I’ve been a Gibson guy for a while. Started with Epiphone Les Paul and SG, than Gibson Les Paul Studio and ES-339. However, I’ve loved the PRS look and tone.
Two months ago, I bought a SE Custom 24. Up until now I played it through a battery powered Vox Mini3. Absolutely, love the neck. Yesterday, I plugged into my standard rig (Boss GT-100 & a Roland amp). The guitar is noisy. The noise goes away when I turn the guitar’s volume knob to off. I’m a little worried. PRS is known for it quality. Did I get a lemon? (I may be a bit dramatic.)

It could be a bad potentiometer (volume) or dust in it. Could needs a little deoxit. Or your pickup is in single coil mode. Do you have a multimeter?
