Replacing SE knobs with USA knobs

Even the knobs on the push/pull pots can just be pulled off?

Yes.. The US knobs seem to fit a hair tighter on the SE's and they can be tough to remove sometimes, make sure to protect your guitars top with a rag or something.. I have a tool to help remove them.

What you need is one of those V shape knob pullers-makes the job real easy:

Totally this. Just loop it under on both sides of the haft then pull straight up.
Otherwise somebody (Stewmac? Music Nomad? Somebody) makes a thing for removing stuck ones.
I think @SinSir gave me the shoelace trick a few months ago. It worked a charm.

As Sinsir mentioned, stringing is a great way to do this, I use two ropes and have always pulled guitar knobs tighter that way. the photos will be better than my broken English!
