I bought a set of amber lampshades because I thought they'd look good on the tortoise pickguard of my Vela Satin, but I ended up not liking them.
I know Matthew Haramis does some beautiful tortoiseshell-esque knobs, so I reached out to him to see if he might have anything available. He asked for photos of the guitar, and I obliged. He picked out these knobs and switch tip (which arrived on the day of the eclipse) and I think they look absolutely spectacular. The silver ring complements the hardware, and his material looks amazing against the tortoise pickguard and satin McCarty burst.
Haramis was fantastic to deal with, shipped stuff right away, and the quality of the product is outstanding. If you want quality, one-of-a-kind hardware, definitely check out his stuff.
