Is there a thread or web page somewhere that I can read about the different PRS bass guitar pickups?
I've seen some PRS bass guitars with a single "rail" pickup for each of the two common pickup installation locations (at the bridge and at the neck) and I've also seen them doubled up at each location.
I'm wondering which pickups might sound like single coils with hum, which sound like humbuckers without hum, are any of the pickups active (battery powered) and so on.
I've thought about buying a PRS bass but I'd like to know more about them before I try to buy one. Currently the only ones I've ever seen are online and so all I can do is read about them for now and hopefully I will be able to make an intelligent decision in the event I ever find one in person to buy.
