PRS EB Bass electrics

So, I recently purchased a 2001 PRS EB bass, I really enjoy playing this and the sounds both passive and active are great. I'm confused about the electronics on this bass; both volume controls do not turn the bass completely off. With both volumes off I can still hear the bass through the amp. Not loud but it never turns off completely. What would cause this? Both batteries are new.

Does not matter if it's on passive or acvtive mode, the bass never shuts off completely.

Have you opened the control cavity to see if anything is touching that shouldn't be?

Yep, I have but I don't see anything obvious. Replaced the batteries too.

Something with the pots...you could try cleaning them first...to eliminate that possibility, if that doesn't fix the issue. (spray some electronics cleaner into them)
