Practical Tips

I have been away from home for some weeks with no guitar to play. In the hope of minimizing the pain of playing again with softened fingertips I tried to maintain my calluses by rolling the edge of beer bottle tops, anything with a metal edge, and digging in with my thumbnail for a few minutes each day. It became an easy habit. I am back home now and It worked quite well. The tips of my fingers are not as hard as they were but picking up the guitar again is much less of an ordeal :)

I have a confession to make...I used Super Glue before the calluses came in...I'm so ashamed of myself:oops:...but I feel better now that that I have confessed my sins:rolleyes:...well, and because my fingers are dead inside now...o_O

Buying a new guitar this close to Christmas guarantees even wear on the living room couch, when you're told to sleep on it that night.

Why yes, yes it does...yup, I am a walking, talking, couch sleeping, cautionary tale...GUESS WHAT?! DON'T CARE! :D
I scored a cool new giutar! WINNING! ;)
