Agreed, and really is as it should be. I'm of the thought that a PRS is influenced by certain tones, but needs to be its own thing.
Even my McCarty Singlecut retains a wonderful "PRSness" that distinguishes it from an LP.

Haven't heard anyone mention 53/10's for pups in an SC58/SC245 (if you can find them). I really love mine. From what I've found they have a bit lower output compared to the 57/08's. Not sure if they are more LP like or not but the neck pup sure reminds me of that thick and rich 70's lead ballad tone. The bridge is pretty great as well.
