opinions on veneer choice for pickguard

I'd pick the burl on the left, (but probably stain it). But it doesn't matter what we think...pick the one that speaks to you and rock it proud!

Thanks for all of the great suggestions. I wouldn't expect any less. I will ultimately choose what I will like the most, however your input will definitely be involved in my thought process. I also have the freedom to decide the shape and size I would like it to be, so I will probably be doing some simple paper cutouts to place down first, then who knows. Come winter I may decide to give it another makeover hahaha.
