Just picked her up a few hours ago. ‘04 McSoapy, all original, looks like it has barely been played. I’ve only spent about 30 minutes playing straight through my portable amp…but it’s oh so good

Wow, that is amazing. Any Soapie is great and that elegant natural finish is both understated and amazing at the same time.

Also interesting that it pre-dates the time when the stoptails got the tiny brass inserts at the contact edges.

Thanks! It’s got incredible depth to the top. In the sunlight, it’s mesmerizing.

I’m really loving this guitar. It plays like a dream, is beautifully resonant and just feels “right”. I had to drop my son off for a spring training trip this morning at 4:30, got home around 5. MrsThunder had gone back to bed, so I played it unplugged for about 90 minutes. Even the acoustic tone is rich and warm.
