…smokeburst in an S2 594 thinline! I didn’t know this color line existed for thinlines. Then I saw one and knew I had to have it. A full 15 ounces lighter than my blue smoke burst S2 594 SC, which was already crazy light by single cut standards. Absolutely love it. She was born 3 weeks ago! Hard to photograph with the reflections. I left photos from the dealer on the bottom to capture the gorgeous mahogany top that I couldn’t.

The only thing I absolutely had to change was the orientation of the toggle switch. Bugged me out that it was still like a Gibson but not at the right location. A simple rotation of the switch and now it’s like a strat/tele direction wise and I much prefer it that way. I kept the toggle switch in the normal orientation on the SC.

Guess I’m a vintage guitar type of guy with these and silver sky as my fav kind of PRS.

Dude ! Is this a special Dealer Exclusive thing ? Like you, I have not seen this flavor in a Thinline. Only the Vintage Cherry or Tobacco (which I copped) Who was the dealer on this ?

Maybe there is hope for my stripey/flamey version ! :)

BTW I did see the Mint Green and the Frost Blue in the flesh, and they looked waay better than the pics ...

Awesome, dude. That's a really nice choice of color, and a really nice choice of guitar.

Casino guitars in North Carolina. I’ve only seen it there and a guy in Euro. Since the Date of Birth is rather new I wonder if this will be a new color going forward. I sure don’t need a flame maple top with such a gorgeous mahogany finish to it. Such a great addition to the S2 line. I have no doubt there will be dealer exclusive colors soon enough, as I have seen them on the S2 594 singlecut. I doubt veneers tho.

Well ... to get flamey/stripey ... I may have to go to a chubbier DC ! ;)

But I find that the Thinlines neck profile really suits me ...

Sweetness! Those thin bodies are nice, everything I like about SGs without the terrible strap button location! :)
Or the atrocious guitar output jack location!!! Love that I have the PRS s2 version of a Les Paul and an SG now. Paul’s ultimate vision. Innovating and constantly improving. Gotta love it
