NGD: Double No-Whammy

You know, I just checked. The headstock serial # says it’s a 2015, but the build date listed on the case and hang tag is 2016. And according to the Wayback Machine, the McCarty was re-introduced as part of the 2016 model lineup. So I guess I have a 2016.

Well, the 2020 models for the SE range just got announced and a few are already out there. Just like cars, the "model year" vs actual year of production can vary, as they get a head start.

And sometimes, a guitar gets started in one year, and the headstock reflects that start date, but it isn't finished until early the next year, so it is tagged as the later year to reflect final build date.
