Mid 2000s McCarty 20th Anniversary all mahogany.

Anyone play or own a mid 2000 McCarty all mahogany, with no maple cap?
Found an excellent shape and black solid mahogany ebony, locally I may go play.

Could be nice addition to collection to go with my CE22, SC250and LPs.

The guy has been really nice about it all and should be fun getting a chance to play it.

I have an all Korina version. Let's say my guitar should be a little mid forward/brighter than all hog, but not much. Resonance for days. Awesome guitar, probably feels the best of all my guitars. Go for it!

I think you’ll find a slightly darker, thicker sound than your other PRS, but with the fantastic top end that all PRS have, Besides, the correct number of guitars is always one more than you have.

I am going to the guy's house to try the guitar this week.
I want something different from my Les Paul, SC250 and CE22. I was gonna get another Singlecut, LP or even a Custom 22, but something is pulling me toward this McCarty. It's sleek and sharp looking.

Greatful he's having me come by or meeting up to play it. We both like similar genres of music.

I have to be honest though, I love Singlecuts. And this 2000 Singlecut is available.
I like this too.
Wish I could play them all.

And then there is this 2000 Singlecut as well, but one issue is the tuners are replaced with locking tuners and they had to drill new holes. Even if I put the stock ones back, there always be extra holes in the headstock. I did the same to my CE22 when I installed Planet Waves tuning machines.

Yep, it's sharp. It has some dings that reveal the raw wood on the edge.
