Hi guys,

Thanks for the assistance as I was going thru the decision making process. I finally pulled the trigger and bought this today.
I only played it briefly but so far, I'm enjoying it! I am going to be out of town for a few days, so I won't have a chance to give a good workout till thr weekend.

It's in great shape. The photo I took has a lot of glare from ceiling lights.

I have an extra Suhr Aldrich that I'm hoping to give a spin in this McCarty. I have owned McCarty models before and while I like the pickups, I like a hitter bridge bucker and maybe a little brighter.
The Suhr Aldrich could be the ticket.

So far, so good! :)

So I ran into my first issue.
The bridge screws do not turn at all. It is as if they are frozen or jammed. I can't adjust the action at all. :(

Are the strings detuned before you try to adjust?

String tension will make those screws impossible to turn. Loosen up the strings and they should turn very easily.

Those may be the bridge screws where you need to turn them underneath the bridge to get them lower and the flat head part on top is what holds the bridge. It is a bit different design that the modern type bridge. On my OG Tremonti guitars that is how it adjusts.See if you can loosen the string tension and loosen the screws and see if they come completely out leaving the bottom piece attached to the body of the guitar. If so, use the wrench or by hand and lower the screws. Pop the bridge back on and then retighten the top screws.

Ok, I'm a little lost with what you mean. All my other PRD guitars, even my 2003, I just turned the bridge screw from thr top and that's it. I don't see anything under the bridge to adjust. I removed all tension and they moved a bit now. I'm on vacation starting tomorrow so I'm taking it to my tech next weekend for a fret dressing and set up so I'll see what he says.
Thanks Bogner for the input, man.

No need to be lost. Loosen the string tension and back the screws out. Does the screw come out of the body of the guitar or does the screw come out of the part going into the body of the guitar?

Congrats, hope you will enjoy it! The humbucker twin sister of my McCarty p90. Black PRSs look sexy :-)

Oh, I see exactly what you mean. Either the bridge slides or sits again the screw which comes out of the body or its threading thru holes in the bridge? I'm leaving for vacation but will look when home and it's going to my techs for a needed fret dressing. Thanks!

Does solid mahogany, similar to an SG, tend to have more of a growl than mahogany with a maple top? This has a nice growl thru my Bogner.
