I had another silly idea. Saw a McCarty II over the weekend. Didn't even know about this (short lived) revision. Not interested in the MVC preamp section, but I am interested in that little mini-toggle switch and battery compartment. I've been wanting to try the Fishman Fluence pickups to see if that infernal transformer EMI noise from outside can be reduced. Seems like a good candidate for the experiment. And if it doesn't work, I'd be left with a standard fixed bridge McCarty.
