Hello,

New member here! Not sure if this question has been asked before, does the PTC team perform fretboard replacement?

I have a 2001 Singlecut Artist Package that I'm thinking about sending to the PTC team for a refinish. Never got used to the color (Tortoiseshell) and I'm thinking I would like to have a new fretboard put on, if possible. I like a dark fretboard on my guitars and this one is on the lighter side.

I guess the question here is, is it even worth it? Considering it could end up costing more than the guitar is worth.

Any who, if anyone has some input let me know. Thanks!

Best thing you can do is start here

https://www.prsguitars.com/ptc/

Click on "Start Order" and fill out the forum. PRS will get back to you with a quote. They have done fretboard replacements in the past. Not sure if they are still doing them. And, you're right. It would likely be pretty pricey. If it's a keeper, it may be worth it.

Great! Thanks for the reply. You might be right, it will probably be really pricey.
