Early Zach Myers nut material question

Happy Holidays!!! I just acquired a 2016 Zach Myers SE. The nut looks kind of plastic-y. Does anyone know what it's made of?
It seems to work ok, but I like the way open notes ring out with a Graphtec Tusq XL nut. Hope it's of a similar material.

If memory serves me correctly, those were plastic type material. I have graphtec tusq on mine, and it made a huge difference.
