When you say “hit it” I’m assuming you aren’t using that in the commonly accepted fashion. My SC58 has been giving me issues with the neck cutting out. Hit it with D5 and then F5 the other night. Switch and pot are smooth, quiet, and guitar functions exactly as it should again. Deoxit saves the day!

Ok, it was a fail for this pot, it’s the 20 year old volume pot, not the deoxit. The shaft moves vertically a mm or two, which it shouldn’t do. Depending, the volume jumps all over. PRS and John Mann both have pre wired vol/tone/3 way switch sets. I think I’ll just do that and know it’ll be good for another 20 years. That ought to get me into my mid 80’s.Ok, gonna try this. I have the F5, but used the D5. It rescued my Santana’s volume pot, but for a short time only. Next step is new electronics for my 20 year old Santana.
hmm, I mean, that doesn't sound all that unusual. Not that there's anything wrong with it.A lil switch tusslin' and pot wrestlin'
