Well, I lasted a week before changing something on my brand new Custom 22 Piezo . I've never been a massive fan of the split sound in position 2 and 4 and thought I only need to keep one, and I miss the neck single-coil.
So a fairly simple operation, I removed the bridge red wire, soldered the neck white to back of the tone pot so it's always grounded. Inserted a 1.1k resistor and some small changes to the hot wafer side as per the diagram below. I think it'll suit my playing much better. This gives the following positions:
1. Bridge Humbucker (same as before)
2. Bridge Humbucker + Neck Single coil (same as before)
3. Bridge and Neck Humbuckers (same as before)
4. Neck Humbucker (same as previous position 5)
5. Neck Single coil
Hope someone else finds this useful!
