Which version do you like best?
I like both, but I like the clean style with the amps tremolo on, and also the overdriven sound of Joan Jett.

In this live version with Tommy James there is less tremolo used.

Cool topic! I always have respect for the original of anything. That being said, I prefer Joan's version of this song. I've only seen her live once, and that was years ago right after she hit so big. Great gig. They did an extended version of this, and either the tremelo stuff wasn't used that night, or it was lost in the so-so sound of the arena. Either way, it was really good. Joan almost got arrested that night. Their encore was a certain Stones cover, and some of the mothers in the audience were upset by the language.

When I get my Zach Myers, I am going to try playing it clean with tremolo on my amp, then switch it to overdrive with no tremolo, and try to play it like Joan.

I saw some other videos of her with her hair blonde and almost a crew cut, not the best IMO.
I liked her appearance better in the above video.

Same here. I like her better with the black shag myself. But I doubt she cares what I think.
