Hi all, new to the forum.
I believe I've settled on the semi-hollow SE 22. The only issue with the guitar is that it doesn't coil tap. I considered going up to the S2 HB to get the split function but I'm not terribly interested in a tremelo and the extra $900 is certainly weighs.
The easiest solution would be for me to simply replace the tone pot with a push-pull, but I can't do that if the Original SE humbuckers are 2-wire, which I suspect they are. Can anyone verify this?
If they are 2-wire, I can replace the pot and the two pickups and still be way below the S2 cost. My first thought would be the Seymore Duncan Hot Rodded set (Jazz and HB). I like playing blues, classic rock, clean rhythm, jazz etc...
Looking for an answer on the 2-wire question and opinions on which pickups to consider if necessary.
Thanks!
