I recently got a PRS SE custom 24 and had Seymour Duncan pickups put in. The tech seemed knowledgeable about guitars generally but not much experience with PRS specifically. (I live in a rural area so not a whole lot of options for techs nearby and I'm not knowledgeable even to do it myself). Anyway, he did the pickup replacement and the pickups sound fine but the push/pull coil split button has been reversed. Now, when the button is up it is in humbucker mode and when it is down it is in single coil mode. This is the opposite of how the guitar originally was.
This isn't something I really care about too much (except to the extent that I would have to explain this quirk to a potential purchaser if I ever wanted to sell the guitar). I'm just wondering if there's any way this signifies a more significant wiring error that I'm not aware of. I believe the pickups sound as they're supposed to aside from this issue. Thanks!
