I'm looking at an alder ce22 from 2008.
How long did they do an alder run during that time?

In the works. That’d be a guitar I could see you needing to check out.
Nice!In the works.
Mahogany started in late 94. The “CE maple top” still had alder backs until then.Well, technically, the first CE's were alder until about 91. Then they went to mahogany and maple. The 2008 must be a special run. Still a great guitar to check out. I love my Alder CE.
This one has D2 pickups which i don't hate but I do have tons of options.Mahogany started in late 94. The “CE maple top” still had alder backs until then.

The Alder CE was a production model for that year and not a special edition. That said, I don't think too many were made, as they only lasted a year and you don't see that many 2008 model Alder CE's in the wild.Well, technically, the first CE's were alder until about 91.
