Abysmal customer service :(

Ok I'm going to make one of very rare serious posts so pay attention :p

Although it's definitely funny and I'm as bad as anyone we really should stop bumping this one.
All it's really doing is pushing this thread towards the top of search engine results.
And do we really want to have that for PRS?
Best result is abysmal customer service??
I think not.

I would have already nuked this thread on Roon Forum or at the very least changed the title to something more complementary towards PRS.
I'm unwatching it to at least try to not comment again...lol

Ok speech over.
Carry on guys & gals.

I echo your sentiment

Okay it's been nearly 24 since I took my solemn vow not to bump this post
I just wanted to reaffirm my vow and draw attention to myself at the same time
Ok, now repeat after me:

"Thank you sir, may I have another?"

(Edit) and now after seeing the post above, this will be my last post in this thread.

The exact same thing just happened to me on my core silver sky. The springs are freaking in this think like nothing I’ve ever seen in 35 years of playing strat type guitars. This is crazy and ridiculous. PRS bends the part of the spring that goes into the block and it won’t come out no matter what without breaking off the thing. Ridiculous! Needle nosed pliers whatever. Nothing works getting these springs out. I’m freaking pissed.

You can remove them... carefully. It requires patience and a light touch.

1. using needle nose pliers, bend the tang upwards only a sight bit. (not too much !)
2. slide a small flat head screwdriver underneath the tang and carefully wiggle it to lever the tang out of the block.
3. install new springs.

Once again... if you have a broken sping in a block, I can probably repair it for you. PM or email me.

I see you are an authorized dealer.

I see you are an authorized dealer. Thank you for your response. I was actually very careful and had read about carefully bending and using the small flathead screwdriver. It’s just these springs are in this like I’ve never seen before. I had to remove the entire bridge and they still won’t come out. It’s unbelievable. I’ve been playing for 35 years and never seen anything like this before. It’s crazy.
