This thread makes me wonder two things. Some of these guitars are SO cool, I wonder if PRS could sell painted modestly ro less due to not needing some primo figured maple for the top. Some painted guitars are iconic for their painted colors, such as black Les Pauls, Gold Top Les Pauls, or all white Strats. I love beautiful woods. But is it cheaper to make and sell a painter guitar than a guitar with an expensive figured top?

The second question is, WHY in the world would @Rider 1260 sell that gold top Vela??? That has mojo just dripping off of it.
